The Live Well with Cancer Showcase Event took place on Friday 7th March 2025 at Gorton Monastery, Manchester.
A message from the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham
The event brought together service providers and colleagues from across Greater Manchester. It was a day to celebrate some of the results of the project. It also showcased examples of good practice we have learned about through the programme. There were lots of chances for people to meet, network and share ideas.
At lunchtime, the team from GM Active led an exercise class in the sunshine.
The afternoon saw two planning sessions. We discussed what Greater Manchester’s prehab and movement offer could look like. There were great discussions, and many ideas to guide our plans.
