Commissioning
GM Cancer and the Greater Manchester Joint Commissioning Team support the 10 localities in Greater Manchester and link in with our colleagues in neighbouring CCGs as required to provide support and advice on the commissioning of cancer services. This advice and support extends from prevention strategies through screening and early diagnosis, delivery of evidence based treatment, personalised care for people with cancer, education and advice for primary care colleagues, and public facing communication. The team also work alongside colleagues in the specialised commissioning team in GM / NHSE/I.
The commissioning team work with the GM Cancer Alliance Senior Management Team and Pathway Boards to drive change needed across GM to achieve the national and GM ambitions in relation to cancer patient outcomes and experiences of care.
