Clinical Leads, GM Cancer Colorectal Pathway Board
Dr Roger Prudham
GM Clinical Lead for Colorectal
Roger is currently Lead Cancer Clinician and Caldicott Guardian for the Northern Care Alliance (NCA). In addition, he is the Clinical Director of the Pennine NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) and Deputy Chair of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority Information Board. He also leads the Rapid Diagnostic Service for the NCA.
Roger has been a Consultant Gastroenterologist since 2001 and has held a variety of clinical leadership roles over that time. He has led the BCSP team in the northern part of Greater Manchester since the inception of the programme in 2007 and still undertakes a regular colonoscopy list. He wishes to lead this Pathway Board to doing all that it can to reduce morbidity and mortality from colorectal cancer. This is something he has been committed to throughout his career and so it is a great honour and opportunity to hold this role.
Roger grew up and went to school in Greater Manchester but trained at Barts in London before returning North for his clinical training. He undertook training posts in Salford, North Manchester, and Oldham before commencing his consultant post in 2001.
