For maps, directions and parking charges please visit the Hilton website.
Reducing our environmental impact
Our conference is an exciting fixture in our calendar and one of our largest events, attracting hundreds of visitors.
This year, we have been carefully considering ways in which we can reduce our environmental impact.
As a result, we have taken the following actions:
- Switched our name badges from plastic to recyclable card. We will also request our in-person attendees to return their green lanyards at the close of the conference to be reused in future years.
- Reduced the amount of paper we use at the event, including printed agendas and programmes. Our conference app will contain full information regarding our agenda, speakers, sponsors and more. QR codes will be placed around the venue for you to download our app and access this information, with free WiFi available. A small amount of paper copies will be available.
- Requested our sponsors to support us in our agenda to reduce paper on-site
- Reduced the amount of waste created through promotional items. We know some items including pens and notebooks can be an added bonus to receive at our events, but have considered carefully the volume and type of items available to ensure we reduce waste from unwanted or ‘one-time use’ items.
- Requested the venue to use crockery rather than disposable plates or bottles for refreshments
How you can support us:
- Opt for green travel where this is available and appropriate for you (including car sharing, travelling by tram, train, bus, bike or foot)
The Hilton, Deansgate (M3 4LQ) is close to both Manchester Oxford Road and Deansgate train stations and Deansgate Castlefield Metrolink Stop. There are also buses which travel to Deansgate. You can plan your journey using the Transport for Greater Manchester website. - There are bike racks outside the The Hilton hotel and access to the Bee Active bike close by too.
You can also find out more about the BeeActive bikes available to hire in Manchester on the Transport for Greater Manchester website. - Bring your own refillable cup/water bottle, if you have one
- Bring your own paper and pens if possible
- Download our conference app ahead of time to access our agenda, programme and information about the event.
Thank you for your support. We are continuing to consider how else we can make improvements in this area and we would welcome your feedback and suggestions for future events.

Our purpose is to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people’s lives.
We use innovative science and technology to address some of society’s most challenging healthcare issues and we work together with the system to implement solutions that drive access for UK patients.
From research to delivery, we are a valued partner in the healthcare ecosystem, supporting in times of crisis and beyond, to build solutions that provide better care and access opportunities for every patient in the UK.
We are in the midst of a silent pandemic; a second healthcare crisis in which millions of people are waiting for NHS treatment. The NHS will need to manage this unprecedented backlog, as well as progress and improve care for the future. This is a challenge that requires bold solutions, close collaboration and exciting innovation.
At Novartis, we are strongly positioned to help the NHS recover. We have a broad portfolio of treatments aligned to the clinical priorities of the NHS and the Long Term Plan; from cancer care to cardiovascular disease.
COVID-19 has taught us that if we are to bring about real change, we must collaborate like never before.
We partner with the NHS and the
entire health ecosystem to identify and implement healthcare solutions for patients most in need, no matter where they are or what their background.
We are also looking ahead to deliver for the patients of tomorrow; we have one of the most exciting pipelines of any company in the industry. Through this, and through digital and data-led solutions identified by the Novartis Biome (our digital innovation lab), we reimagine medicine to change tomorrow and ensure no patient is left behind.
