The Greater Manchester Cancer Conference is back for 2026 and will take place on 12–13 May at the Deansgate Hotel (formerly the Hilton Deansgate).
As our flagship event, the conference brings together colleagues, partners and stakeholders from across the cancer system to share best practice, explore innovation and focus on our shared priorities. The agenda will align with the national 10-year plan and centre on three key themes: sickness to prevention, analogue to digital, and hospital to community.
New for 2026, we are also launching a dedicated Greater Manchester Cancer Voices Conference later in the summer, with a unique focus on patients and carers. More details will be shared soon.
Greater Manchester Cancer Awards – now open for entries
A highlight of the conference will be the third Greater Manchester Cancer Awards on the evening of 12 May, celebrating the outstanding individuals and teams making a difference across cancer services in our region. The awards are now open for entries.
Now in their third year, the awards recognise dedication, innovation and collaboration across the cancer system. There are eight award categories available to enter, including two new individual categories – “Spark of Excellence” Staff Award and the Jo Taylor Award for Excellence in Cancer Volunteering. Award.
The closing date for entries is 27 February 2026.
