Father-of-three David Jones-Stanley, 51, has written a book about his experience of being diagnosed with stage 3 food pipe (oesophageal) cancer in October 2021. Operations director David, who lives in Wigan with his husband James and their three boys, was treated for oesophageal cancer at The Christie three years ago. A Bolton manufacturing company director is urging everyone who gets invited to NHS lung cancer screening to make sure they attend – after he nearly missed his appointment which went on to show he had lung cancer.
