The latest series of the Greater Manchester Cancer podcast, a series of six episodes looking in detail at personalised care, is now CPD accredited.
Personalised care is fundamental to delivering better quality care that is meaningful to the individual and supports their health and wellbeing. This empowers people to manage their care and the impact of their cancer.
Covering Holistic Needs Assessments, Personalised Stratified Follow up, Treatment Summaries, Gemonics, Cancer Care Reviews and social prescribing, each episode sees the experts delivering this work – including patients who have been closely involved in co-production throughout – discuss what’s involved.
Freya Driver, Personalised Care Director said:
“Everyone is different and will have different concerns when they are diagnosed with cancer. Every patient should have the opportunity to discuss all of their concerns, whether during a hospital appointment or with their GP, and get the support they need.
Here in Greater Manchester, we are working hard to make sure this happens, and this series of the GM Cancer Podcast looks at some of the specific areas of work taking place.”
Alison Foxley, Communications and Engagement Manager, said:
“Whilst we’ve now produced several series of our podcast, this is the first time we have included CPD accreditation. The podcast is all about sharing some of the work going on with the wider Greater Manchester Cancer workforce, and we hope to continue with CPD accredited episodes in the future”.
