Macmillan Cancer Support’s Cancer Care Map
The Cancer Care Map helps people affected by cancer find local support services across the UK. By searching with a postcode or location, users can access information about a wide range of services, including support groups, exercise and wellbeing activities, information centres, and financial or benefits advice. The directory brings together support from Macmillan Cancer Support and other local organisations, making it easier for people to find help that meets their needs close to home.
What is Health and Wellbeing Information & Support?

Health & Wellbeing support refers to a holistic approach to patient care. The key to this is to see each person as unique. Patients have needs beyond those related to their cancer.
The approach looks at all of a person’s needs. It understands that cancer can affect patients in many different ways.
The picture shows how many elements we think about when taking this approach.
At the Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance, we work with the wider system to connect services, share resources and design new ways of improving access to information and support.
We also work closely with pathway boards and Clinical Nurse Specialists to create new resources for patients. Updates on this piece of work will appear here.
If you have used any services, or are aware of any which would be valuable to have added to this website, please get in touch via email with Max Thomasson who works for the Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance’s Personalised Care Programme: max.thomasson@nhs.net
