Metastatic cancer means the cancer has spread from where it first started to another part of the body. All cancers metastasise in a slightly different way, and it can sometimes be difficult to identify.
To help both patients and healthcare professionals better recognise, and act on, potential signs and symptoms of metastatic disease, we have produced a series of infographics for the relevant tumour types. Each infographic visually displays signs and symptoms to look out for on the diagram of a body, and prompts action if symptoms are present for more than 4 weeks.
The infographics are available below, and we would encourage you to share them widely. We have created digital versions to be able to view on screen as well as a print version which can be printed locally.
As with every part of our metastatic strategy, these infographics have been co-created with people living with metastatic cancer.
We would like to acknowledge that these infographics have been based on those produced by Jo Taylor, founder of METUPUK, who campaigned for metastatic patients.
