Greater Manchester Collaboration

Great things happen when we work together! The opportunities to improve patient experience and outcomes as well as efficiency are huge when individuals, teams and organisations collaborate. This can take many forms, from teams collaborating to provide specialised services, teams in different Trusts working together ensure patient experience is seamless, organisations sharing resources and many more. This award is to recognise all types of partnership working – as long as there is clear benefit to the patient, it can be at any scale.

Our judges will be looking for:

Evidence of cross-partnership working between individuals, teams or organisations
A clear and measurable benefit for people affected by cancer
The team or project must be working within cancer services for the Greater Manchester population

Collaboration is something we are proud of in Greater Manchester and we regularly see a range of teams and organisations working together on projects. Explain who was involved in your work and how a team approach was used to the benefit of the project. What Happens Next?

The closing date for entries is Friday 16th February.

Judging will take place during March, and if you are shortlisted you will be notified by Friday 22nd March.

Shortlisted teams will be required to make someone available to be filmed for a 1 minute film talking about their entry. This film will be available on our website, and will be used by patient and carer representatives to vote for the Patients Choice Award. Filming will take place on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th March at a convenient location.

Each shortlisted team will be invited to the Awards Ceremony on the evening of 14th May 2024, where the winners will be announced. The ceremony will take place at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester.
