Educational Impact Award

This award celebrates those that champion education and how this can improve outcomes across our city-region, from supporting our workforce with additional skills, to supporting the public to understand more about their health and encourage positive improvements. We are looking for teams or projects that have identified and educational need and used education as a tool to ultimately improve outcomes and experiences for people affected by cancer.

Our judges will be looking for:

A clear description of the problem and how the team or project has set to address it through education
Evidence of co-production and involving patients or the public to shape the project
Demonstrable impact of the project, through qualitative and quantitative data
The team or project must be working within cancer services for the Greater Manchester population

Collaboration is something we are proud of in Greater Manchester and we regularly see a range of teams and organisations working together on projects. Explain who was involved in your work and how a team approach was used to the benefit of the project. What Happens Next?

The closing date for entries is Friday 16th February.

Judging will take place during March, and if you are shortlisted you will be notified by Friday 22nd March.

Shortlisted teams will be required to make someone available to be filmed for a 1 minute film talking about their entry. This film will be available on our website, and will be used by patient and carer representatives to vote for the Patients Choice Award. Filming will take place on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th March at a convenient location.

Each shortlisted team will be invited to the Awards Ceremony on the evening of 14th May 2024, where the winners will be announced. The ceremony will take place at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester.
