Your Voice: Shaping the way we Work

The Greater Manchester Cancer User Involvement programme was launched in 2015 and is essential to our work as an Alliance. The programme ensures the voice and needs of people affected by cancer in Greater Manchester – including our patients, their carers, friends and family – are at the front and centre of the Alliance’s work.

We’d like to invite you to take part in the research that we’re undergoing to hear people’s views on how we can continue to do this in the most effective and meaningful way.

We have commissioned Mustard, an independent market research agency, to conduct this work on our behalf. They follow the Market Research Society Code of Conduct, so your feedback will be anonymous unless you give Mustard permission for it to be made identifiable to you.

The research will involve taking part in one of the following:

One to one telephone / virtual interview

  • Lasting approx. 1 hour
  • This will be conducted between 27th May and 8th July

In person focus group with around 6 people

  • Lasting approx. 90 minutes
  • These will most likely take place in the evening on one of the following dates in June; 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st, 22nd or 23rd

Online community, a social media style platform with around 20 people

  • Requiring approx. 2 hours of time across a 10-day period
  • This will be live on 28th June until 7th July
  • You can choose to provide feedback anonymously via the online community if you prefer

Spaces are limited to take part in the interviews, focus groups and online community. We’ll be screening everyone who would like to take part to ensure we’re speaking to a wide mix of people.

If you’re not chosen to take part in this stage, there will be an online survey in July which you will be invited to complete.

Please click on the link below to register your interest and to tell us which parts of the research you’d be happy to be involved with. Mustard will then get in touch with you directly to provide more information and confirm which aspect of the research you will be involved in.
