The NHS is urging people in Greater Manchester to Tick Off Your Bowel Cancer Screening.
Bowel cancer screening is a test you do at home that checks for signs of bowel cancer. It’s offered to people aged 50 to 74. You will be sent a kit to complete in the post every two years.
Please share these assets with your communities to spread awareness about NHS cervical screening.

Further information about bowel cancer screening
Bowel cancer screening is a test you do at home. It checks for signs of bowel cancer and is offered to men and women aged 50 to 74 every two years.
This is because your risk of getting bowel cancer gets higher as you get older.
Home test kit
You collect the sample at home and send it by post to be tested. The test – called a faecal immunochemical test (FIT) – looks for blood in a sample of your poo. If we find blood in your poo sample, you may need further tests to help us find what is causing the blood. For most people, no further tests are needed.

REMEMBER: See your GP if you’re worried about symptoms of bowel cancer, even if you’ve recently returned your bowel cancer screening kit. Do not wait for your next bowel cancer screening test.

It’s your choice if you want to have bowel cancer screening. Screening does not stop you getting bowel cancer, but it is the best way to find it early.
