The Blood in Pee? See your GP campaign features a brightly coloured cartoon character of a toilet, and uses memorable rhymes on posters and on social media. It aims to make sure that everyone in the region knows it’s important to seek help if they spot blood in their pee, even if it only happens once.

Seeing blood in your pee can be a sign of kidney or bladder cancer. It affects men as well as women. It’s probably nothing serious, but if it is cancer, the sooner we spot it, the easier it is to treat. So don’t put it off, see your GP. #GMBloodinPee A brightly coloured toilet cartoon character. Blood in your pee could be a sign of kidney or bladder cancer, which can be especially hard to spot for women. So it’s time we made a habit of checking our pee. Just look at the toilet water before you flush, and if you notice any unexpected blood (that isn’t your period) call your GP.
