Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer for men in the UK. Catching cancer early saves lives. Know the signs and your risk. #GMProstateCancer An educational illustration depicting a person beside text stating 'Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer for men in the UK and can affect anyone with a prostate.'
Most early prostate cancer does not produce symptoms. If you are at higher risk you should discuss a PSA test even if you have no symptoms.

Get to know the signs of prostate cancer:

  • difficulty in passing urine such as a slow flow, straining when you wee or a feeling that your bladder has not fully emptied. (These symptoms are normally due to innocent enlargement of the prostate but it is a good idea to get them checked if worried.)
  • sudden new back pain that fails to respond to painkillers
  • altered sensation in feel or legs
  • new severe fatigue and weight loss

Know the signs and contact your GP if you have symptoms you are worried about. They want to hear from you.
