The Greater Manchester, Lancashire and South Cumbria Strategic Clinical Networks (SCN) was established in April 2013. In 2016 the Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire SCN was formed.
The SCN is led by a Clinical Director. It is supported by an Associate Director, with strong involvement from patients, carers and members of the public.
Its aim is to improve quality, improve health outcomes and address unacceptable variations in health and care services. They aim to achieve this by providing strategic direction, enabling clinical leadership and bringing the voice of service users, carers and the public to shape evidence based pathways and models of integrated care for its populations.
