A new ‘This Van Can’ Ovarian Cancer Awareness Roadshow in partnership with Target Ovarian Cancer and the Dianne Oxberry Trust, an organisation founded in memory of BBC broadcaster Dianne Oxberry who sadly died from ovarian cancer in 2019.
The van runs 24 Feb to 5 April route is due to be as follows: Trafford, Salford, Stockport, Manchester, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Tameside, Oldham, Wigan.

The roadshow features real women affected by ovarian cancer in the North West including cancer survivor Hilary, GP Charlotte and the late BBC broadcaster Dianne Oxberry who sadly died of ovarian cancer in 2019.Expertise is provided by Dr Nadia Ali-Ross a consultant gynaecologist. |

The roadshow – a partnership between the NHS, Target Ovarian Cancer and the Dianne Oxberry Trust – will offer information, quizzes and videos to help increase understanding of ovarian cancer. You can also pick up a symptoms diary to record any symptoms you might be worried about ready to start a conversation with your GP. Charlotte said: “I’d really encourage people to visit the van. I hope it will empower people to know more about the symptoms of ovarian cancer and to take action if they need to.” |
